Translation and publishing of the textbook on developmental psychology

Anotace anglicky

The goal of the project is publishing the Czech translation of the textbook : ' Developmental Psychobiology ' by George F.Michel and Celia L.Moore ( The MIT Press, Cambridge, Mass.1995 ). The text provides a coherent theoretical treatment of the flourishing new field of developmental psychobiology. The authors, two of the field's key pioneers and researchers, integrate primary source of information from research in evolutionary biology, developmental neuroscience, dynamic system theory and other psychological and biological disciplines in a clear account of the frontier of biopsychological investigation and theorizing. The theoretical, conceptual, and empirical scope of the book is extraordinary. There is no similar book on the Czech market, and this branch of developmental psychology research is almost missing in the Czech Republic.
