Sculpture in the city of Ostrava. The relation between architecture and sculpture in the city during the 20th century

Anotace anglicky

The study as a whole will describe the development of relation between sculpture and architecture within the city of Ostrava in the 20th century. It will consider both the villages separated in the past which successively joined the city, and new neighbourhoods spreading the city area during the 20th century. From the time point of view the paper will involve the end of the 19th century because of the beginning of strong building boom in Ostrava. The research of sculpture and architectonic structures aswell as the research of plastic art in free space or that one surrounded by buildings will try to answer common questions: in which way architects and sculptors were working together, which part of their compositions was dominant and why according to artistic, historical and social conditions in certain time. The index of the most important plastic works and the one of sculptor portraits will be the other sections of the study.

Výsledky řešení projektu:1. Na základě dostupných i nově otevřených pramenů (např. nezpracovaný fond ČFVU v ZA Opava) a na základě terénního výzkumu byla provedena vyčerpávajícím heuristika v oblasti novodobé plastiky ve veřejném prostoru města Ostravy.
