Anotace anglicky

Purpose of this multidisciplinary project is to interpretative principal archive sources and to complete a book, which should be the first issue about the history of National gallery in Prague (NG) , together with her predecessoring institutions ( i.e. The Gallery of the Society of Patriotic Friends of Art in Bohemia and The Modern Gallery of the Kingdom of Bohemia ) since foundation in 1796 till 1945. There should be mentioned not their institutional development, only, but the general historical background, as well, especially focused on the problems of fine art sociology, patronage ( private or public ), changes in the museum theories and opinions on public presentation of the objects of art, together with relations between the history of public artcollection and the general history of art and culture. Result of drafted project should be the comprehensive book on the history of NG, first of its art in Czech scientifically literature.
