Anotace anglicky
The project aims to present the partial line of Czech-Russian cultural and political relations in the period between the 40-ies and the 80-ies of the 19th century, maintained through the Russian diplomatic mission in Vienna. This will not only extend theview of the development of the Slavic issue in Austria during the reference period but it will also describe in greater detail the essence of the maturation and orientation of the newly forming burgher national elites in Bohemia and their ambitions asconcerns partner relations with the official structures of Tsar's empire. The project is designed as a one-year project and builds on the completed grant task GACR no. 409/01/0878 (The Image of Russia in the Czech Politics 1848-1914; completed in 2003).Thefinal output of the presented project in the form of a book, published in a commented edition, will introduce the Czech and international researchers to a unique set of documents written by Czech political and cultural personalities of the reference
