Anotace anglicky

The period of 1945 - 1948 in the post - war history of Czechoslovakia is a significant and comprehensive era. Results of research so far offer sufficient material for the compilation of a more general and more synthetic work about this period. In the course of my almost 40 - years of study I have collected the necessary experience for such a work. The essence is an interpretation of the political conflicts about the character of the republic and economic developments, as well as of the conflicts connected with this. Special attention will be given to problems that have so far been neglected or which are assessed in an entirely new light such as the character of the regime, its place in the post - war history of Czechoslovakia, the causes and consequences of the concept of the nation state, the power political system of the National Front and the way it differs from the West European democracies, the external and internal causes of its break - up and the possibilities of a successful resistance to comm

Cílem projektu byla velká monografie o dějinách Československa v l. 1945-48, a to v mezinárodním kontextu. Z plánovaného rukopisu (cca 1.000 stran) byla dokončena 1. část (400 s.)před dokončením (termínu léta 2000) je další část (300s.). Práce je zpracov
