Anotace anglicky

The German discussions related to the meaning of the Germaness are to be described in their historical and ideological context. The project traces in the first place the common points of post-war German thinking about the German nation from both historical and philosophical perspective. It concentrates on the arguments between left-wing and right-wing German intelligence, which were projected into the crucial discussions concerning the Germaness. These arguments involved the historiographical debates as well as the philosophical and political discussions concerning values and traditions the Federal Republic should adopt. Secondly, the project involves the literary discourse about the Germaness closely linked to the above-mentioned discussions. On their grounds, the proposer intends to perform a thorough interpretation of fundamental literary contributions to the subject of Germaness by the authors who are not explicitly left- or right-wing. The choice of contributions is to be further enriched by other significant literary works related to the subject of Germaness, be their authors either writers or philosophers. The particular outcomes of the research are to be published in both domestic and foreign periodicals, the principal outcome of the project would be a copy of collection (250-300 pages).

Autorská monografie o pojetí "němectví" v období po 2. světové válce je pro české prostředí nesporným přínosem, protože osvětluje českému publiku u nás doposud nezpracované téma. Autor pracuje s koncepcemi světově proslulých představitelů německého kulturního, literárního a částečně i politického života, kteří formovali pohled na poválečnou Spolkovou republiku Německo.
