Anotace anglicky

The basic taxonomic and phylogenetic research of the acalyptrate family Anthomyzidae is continued by a series of pioneer studies dealing with the hitherto non-revised groups in the Nearctic and Neotropical Regions and with the analyses of the relationships of species and genera of the whole Holarctic Region. The taxonomic revision and phylogenetic study of the very speciose genus Anthomyza in the Nearctic Region is the main goal of the project. Of the largely unknown Neotropical fauna two new genera will be treated. Another important goal of the project is a supplementary research of the family Anthomyzidae of the Palaearctic Region. It will be aimed at the acquisition of molecular genetic data of the extant species and of morphological data of the fossil taxa from Baltic amber for reconstruction of phylogenetic relationships within the holarctic fauna of Anthomyzidae. Biology and biogeography of the holarctic species will also be investigated and the affinities between the faunas in the Nearctic and Palaearctic Regions analysed. It is expected that the studies proposed will result in numerous taxonomic and phylogenetic discoveries (descriptions of new genera and species, redescriptions and redefinitions of taxa, new diagnostic criteria, new keys for identification, clarification of phylogeny and classification) as well as new biological and biogeographical information. This will contribute fundamentally to the knowledge of the family Anthomyzidae as a whole.

Projekt byl vcelku řešen úspěšně, nicméne určitým problémem je nižší počet impaktovaných publikací, zveřejměny byly pouze dvě prácetohoto typu (IF = 3,000 a IF=1,061).
