Anotace anglicky
The fight against terrorism which has in the recent years become one of the key priorities of the international community as well as of most states, brings some problematic outcomes. These include the consequences of measures adopted in its framework forthe international legal system of human rights. The fight against terrorism becomes the reson or a pretext for violations of even the most fundamental human rights. These violations are then justified by the exceptional character of the situations demanding non-standard solutions. The project seeks to find out the concrete extent to which the fight against terrorism influences upon the interpretation and application of international human rights standards. It also inquires into whether it is possible to record some common, global trends in this sphere. Finally it verifies whether the fight against terrorism stimulates a more general reassessment of the theoretical foundations of the current human rights system.
