Anotace anglicky

The main objectives of the project are (1) develop and support the activities of the social science research infrastructure provided by the Czech Social Science Data Archive (CSDA) and (2) to involve the Czech Republic in the large research infrastructure CESSDA ERIC (Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives European Research Infrastructure Consortium). (3) Supporting the Czech Republic's participation in the large pan-European research infrastructure through the Czech ESS-CZ node, which collaborates on repeated (longitudinal), quantitative and highly standardised international comparative social science research aimed at tracking attitudes, behaviours and socio-economic characteristics of populations of European countries over time and comparative analyses of attitudes, behaviours and socio-economic characteristics between countries. CSDA/ESS-CZ acts as the National Coordinator with the aim to carry out every second year within the ESS ERIC programme a survey in the Czech Republic, to produce Czech data modules and to deliver them to the international database. The CSDA/ESS-CZ also provides the background for the Czech Republic's continued participation in the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP), which is a long-term international programme of surveys on major topics in sociological research. CSDA serves as a national data centre for social science research, collecting, processing and storing data sets from Czech and international social science research projects and making them available for further analytical use for professional purposes and teaching. CSDA is the Czech national node of the research infrastructure CESSDA ERIC and the provider of its services in the Czech Republic. CESSDA ERIC creates a comprehensive integrated social science data infrastructure based on the interconnection and collaboration of national data archives, develops and coordinates the development of standards and procedures.
