Anotace anglicky

The research center DIMATIA seeks prolonging the student exchange program "DIMACS-DIMATIA REU" (Research experience for undergraduates) for the years 2009-2012. This is a joint program with the research center DIMACS of the Rutgers University in New Jersey. The program offers a group of five or six Czech students to spend seven weeks in the summer at the DIMACS center where they work under supervision of one of the local experts on problems from the areas of discrete mathematics and theoretical computerscience. In the second part of the program, a group of ed US participants of the program visit the DIMATIA center for the period of three weeks. During this part of the program, the student participate in a one-week Prague Midsummer Combinatorial Workshop and visit lectures of the members of the center. The DIMACS-DIMATIA REU program also serves a preparation of prospective graduate students of discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science and is a part of scientific curriculum of the undergra
