Anotace anglicky

BUT is one of the leading research organizations with a functioning system of commercialization of results, which can be evidenced in 2023 by, among other things, the creation of two new Spin Off and two new Start Up companies, 12 newly concluded license agreements (10 of which were concluded abroad) and 11 newly granted patents (5 of which are foreign). The increase in commercialization income in 2023 compared to 2022 is also significant. The main objective of the project is to develop and accelerate the activities of the BUT in the area of support for the commercialisation of R&D results "prof-of_concept", especially in the area of R&D results for which a specific application sponsor or a specific method of commercialisation is not clearly identified. These are results that have been neglected in the commercialisation system so far, as the focus has been mainly on supporting the commercialisation of the results of application projects (e.g. TAČR), which often already have an application guarantor and a described method of commercialisation. The project will also test the new setup of the commercialisation system, which was established by Directive 10/2023, which led to the expansion of the competences of faculty knowledge transfer units and thus to their quantitative and qualitative expansion. In order to achieve this goal, the individual sub-objectives of the project were set: - Development and acceleration of the BUT commercialization system in the field of proof-of-concept, - involvement of the newly established BUT Industrial Council in the commercialisation system as a decision-making body, - optimization of the system for selection and verification of the application/commercial potential of R&D results, - actual verification of the commercial potential of selected results ("proof-of-concept"), - the development of a commercialisation plan for results for which the application/commercial potential has been confirmed (including its financing).
