PoC as a Tool to Verify the Application of R&D Results in Practice

Anotace anglicky

The following objectives are based on the experience of the previous two projects GAMA1 (TG01010080) and GAMA2 (TP01010015). In line with the objective of this call, focus will be on supporting and streamlining the system for transferring R&D results into practice. The GAMA2 project shown that establishment of a spin-off company appears to be the best in terms of future commercialisation and potential revenues. We will improve the PoC system in this direction through following SMART objectives: 1:Improvement of selection of projects with regard to spin-offs (S). Improvement of the awareness of R&D staff regarding the possibility of spin-offs and selection of at least 10 sub-projects (M). The selection will be spread over the whole project period (A). The number is in line with the already solved GAMA projects (R). The distribution over the years is in Annex 5.8 (T). 2:Refinement of the last stage of the sub-projects (PoD) by focusing on spin-off creation (S). We will fine-tune the PoD process on at least four sub-projects, taking into account legal and economic issues (M). This will be mainly about setting up cooperation with external entities (A). The objective is in line with the current political-economic situation oriented towards spin-off creation (R). This project objective will be mainly carried out in the second year of the project (T). 3:Strengthening the transfer of results into practice through spin-offs (S). Emphasis will be placed on the establishment of spin-offs already during the selection of the sub-projects and at least two new spin-off companies will be established at UP (M). Number of new guidelines will be created, tested and modified within the project (A). PoC appears to be a suitable tool to support the establishment of spin-offs and help to break down barriers to the market entry. The SIGMA project resources are sufficient for this purpose (R). The proposed number of spin-offs is according to experience achievable in time (T).
