Anotace anglicky

The main objective of the project is to strengthen and optimize technology transfer at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. The implementation of the project aims to achieve an increase in the successful commercialization of technologies and knowledge generated at CULS into Czech society. The technology transfer will continue to be implemented and will be financially sustainable from the resources generated by the commercialization of research and development, as well as profits from contractual research and other university resources. It will be secured also by the strengthened relations with commercial sector, which can co-finance our research. Thanks to the implementation of the project, ČZU will gain valuable experience, which may be used in its future activities in the field of technology and knowledge transfer from the academic to the application sphere in order to increase the success, efficiency and intensity of this process. The following parameters will be monitored as specific indicators of the programme success: - Number of successful transfer cases at the university - Increase in turnover of commercialization revenues Since proof-of-concept projects are by their nature often at an early stage of development, even if such results are sold, a certain time lag must be expected before the company can further develop them for a specific target group and introduce them into its production cycle. Consequently, we expect that, unlike indicator one, there will be an increase in the revenue turnover (as a consequence of this programme) over a longer time horizont. All in all, we expect that within 4 years from the start of the project we could see an increase in the number of transfer cases of at least 25%. Conversely, we expect an increase in turnover from commercialization much later. Our estimation is that the growth of revenues by up to 20% will be projected only 8 to 9 years after the start of the SIGMA project.
