Anotace anglicky

The project "Support of Proof-of-Concept activities at the UK - SIGMA 4" builds on the successful projects GAMA and GAMA 2. It has succeeded in setting up a system and implementing support in verifying the commercial potential of R&D results at the CU with the aim of subsequent commercialization. A unique innovation ecosystem has been created at CU. The objectives are: 1. To further develop and improve the set innovation ecosystem of the University, including the commercialisation system and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) support. 2. To search for more R&D results with commercialization potential and focus on their quality. 3. Make maximum use of the Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer of Charles University, an independent part of the University, and the results of its work on building the Scouting Network. 4. To make maximum use of Charles University Innovations Prague a.s., a subsidiary of CU, for knowledge transfer into practice and to further develop this cooperation with the private sector. 5. Make maximum use of the Project Support Department and its overview of implemented scientific projects with commercial potential. 6. Promote the possibility of commercial exploitation also in the humanities and social sciences. 7. Promote commercialization opportunities, examples of good practice and positive impact on society among scientists and students, highlighting the importance of early consultation with experts in the innovation ecosystem, especially regarding IP protection and market opportunities. 8. Ensure funding for the PoC program at the CU through an internal university competition to support projects as sub-projects with high prospects for practical and commercial application or with broad social impact. The project will make use of both the existing Commercialization Board system and established project evaluation rules. 9. The aim of supporting sub-projects is to achieve a rapid and effective increase in the TRL (technology readiness level).
