The definition of methodology of rural functional areas

Anotace anglicky

The aim of the research project is to create a method for defining the rural areas and classifying it into regions based on the methods of functional regional taxonomy for the purposes of the Rural Development Concept (RDC) and then to compare these newly created functional rural regions with the valid administrative division of the Czech Republic and to ensure their compliance with valid national and European legislation and with other selected methodological materials after agreement with the end user. Based on a search of available materials and taking into account innovative solutions (e.g. mobile operator data), a method for defining the countryside using functional methods of regional taxonomy will be created. This method will then be tested and modified to meet the needs of the state in the field of regional policy and will be compared with methods that have been used so far in the field of rural support in order to verify or possibly modify the newly emerging method. A map application will be created in which the end user will be able to model individual scenarios in the territory with an emphasis on rural development. Achieving this goal will have a secondary effect on more effective targeting of national strategies in the area of ??regional policy to places with the greatest need, and the state will be able to better verify the impacts of national and regional strategies on rural areas (so-called rural proofing).
