Attenuation due to rain at 38 GHz on V polarisation has been measured on two paths in a star configuration. Attenuation due to rain at 19 GHz on V polarisation has been measured on another two paths. The obtained records of received signal level on the above mentioned paths were processed statistically over the three year period. The cumulative distributions (CDs) of rain attenuation for the average year were obtained for these four paths. The obtained CDs of rain attenuation for the average year are compared with the calculated ones according to the corresponding ITU-R recommendation. Diversity characteristics are obtained and compared with the calculated ones according to the corresponding ITU-R recommendation.
