Surprising numbers of Nemopoda speiseri (Duda, 1926) specimens were collected during two forensic entomology experiments. Samples were found on dead pigs and on nearby vegetation. Specimens were identified and deposited in collections of Institute of Criminalistics Prague (ICP). There were 23 samples from the first, summer experiment and 520 samples collected in second, spring experiment. Highly effective pyramidal trap was used in the second experiment. Maximum abundance of Nemopoda speiseri was in May in the first year of second experiment – 93 females and 158 males were collected. Immature individuals were detected on the cadaver during second experiment, which leads to assumption that Nemopoda speiseri developed in the cadaver.
