Tusimice Observatory - from the heap of devices to the sensor synergy
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The North-Bohemian basin belongs to the areas of the Czech Republic mostly affected by industrial pollution. In this region, smog situations have often occurred in recent decades, manifested by high concentrations of sulphur dioxide. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute operates the Tušimice Observatory in the basin area, aimed on the assessment of industrial pollution (especially energy sources and mining activities). Its next main task is to monitor the links between the air pollution level and the meteorological conditions. Under the Environment Operational Program, the existing Observatory infrastructure has been renewed and a monitoring program has been expanded, particularly in the area of monitoring and evaluation of suspended particles, which represent the principle problem in this region nowadays.
