Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Lightning Imager (LI) onboard the MTG-I satellite will soon provide real-time data on the location and intensity of lightning flashes over Europe and Africa. The new data will consist of point and gridded flash data, when the latest represents accumulated flash products, including Accumulated Flash (AF), Accumulated Flash Area (AFA) and Accumulated Flash Radiance (AFR). Source netCDF files of the simulated gridded data were processed and visualized using some open-source Python libraries in the Jupyter notebook interface. Processing data in this environment helps us prepare for operational use of the new satellite flash data. In the poster presentation, we would like to show the process of preparing, visualizing and projecting the accumulated flash data (AF, AFA, and AFR), which were distributed in a set of simulated Level 2 datasets for the LI on MTG-I. Based on the gridded flash data, we expect to create other related applications in the future, such as the operational calculation of lightning jump.
