Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

Contribution is focused on silver fir, which created up to 19% share in the natural forest species composition in Czech forests. Due to several reasons, current share is lower than 1% and silver fir is often ranked among the neglected tree species. However, area with silver fir slowly increased in the last decades and, consequently, we anticipate an increase in interest about experiences and new knowledges for adequate management. This is in connection with starting research project focused on new measures for support of silver fir in the Czech forestry management. Establishment of silviculture experimental base in the stands with silver fir is also described in the contribution. New recommendations (certified forest guides) will be on the base of project results. .
