For the possibility of study the genetic structure and verification the identity of reproductive material (RM) of Norway spruce and European beech in various stages of processing, from the seeds on to transplanted plants production, methodical DNA analysis procedures were developed. Seven optimally polymorphic nSSR markers showing moderate genetic variability were selected for RM of Norway spruce and nine SSR markers were selected for European beech RM, too. PCR and fragmentation analysis procedures were optimized for selected markers. With the help of the performed Structure analyses, the obtained profiles of monitored sections (UJ) of RM of different origin were distinguishable from each other. These methodological procedures could be used in the state control systems of verifying declared origin of Norway Spruce and European beech forest reproductive material and to increase consumer protection of forest owners and nursery producers in the Czech Republic.
