Název v původním jazyce
Testing the differences between caddisfly communities inhabiting moss and gravel substrates.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The caddisfly communities inhabiting aquatic moss Fontinalis antipyretica and bare gravel bottom were studied in the Bystřice River. Sampling was carried out monthly from April 2000 to March 2001 in Domašov nad Bystřicí, the Czech Republic. Caddisfly larvae were found in every sample, altogether 12,284 larvae were collected and 22 taxa determined. Larvae of 21 taxa were found in the moss, whereas larvae of only 15 taxa were found in the gravel samples. According to Shannon's diversity index, the diversity of both communities was similar but a higher value of Sheldon's equitability index of the caddisfly community in gravel indicated more even distribution of the dominance. DCA-analysis confirmed the hypothesis that caddisfly communities inhabiting mossand gravel substrates differed in their species composition. Moss and gravel samples formed two groups with only a narrow overlap zone on the resulting ordination biplot. Indicator species analysis showed that Hydropsyche pellucidula, H.
