Methodological approach to evaluation of the threat to the state and quality of the environment of water elements forming part of cultural heritage
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Aquatic and wetland habitats are among the most endangered habitats in the landscape. Even the smallest water elements, including pools and small water reservoirs, represent a valuable refuge for the survival of a number of protected species of flora and fauna. Numerous heritage monuments and areas are to varying degrees interconnected with these habitats, especially as part of parks and gardens. In terms of hazards posed to water elements and small water reservoirs in a landscape, we may identify the threat to the quality of their water environment and the accompanying vegetation. The first part of the paper presents the methodology for assessing the treat to the state and quality of the environment of water elements forming part of cultural heritage sites. The second part presents a review of the environmentally friendly and non-invasive technologies to maintain or improve the quality of the aquatic environment of water elements in a landscape with a regard to the decreasing of the eutrophication.
