Medication adherence is crucial for achieving therapeutic outcomes, yetapproximately 25% of patients fail to take their prescribed medications. This non-adherenceburdens healthcare systems and worsens health outcomes. While questionnaire-basedadherence assessments are often unreliable, direct methods, such as detecting drugs in bloodsamples, offer more accurate data. Such studies remain scarce in the Czech Republic. Thisstudy aimed to evaluate adherence to medications in patients with type 2 diabetes using adirect method.
