Der Artikel befasst sich mit einer der bedeutendsten Phasen des Theaterlebens von Mikulov, der Zeit, als in der örtlichen Winterreithalle eine Bühne war. Betrieben wurde die Bühne von Bürgern der Umgebung mit Erlaubnis des damaligen Gutsbesitzers Franz Joseph Fürst zu Dietrichstein. Hier präsentierten sie dann nicht nur ihre Laientheateraufführungen, sondern verpachteten die Räumlichkeiten auch an professionelle Theatergruppen. In gewisser Weise war es der Versuch, hier ein Stadttheater zu schaffen, eine Institution, die bereits in nahe gelegenen Königsstädten (Brünn, Znojmo) üblich war.

The study deals with one of the most significant phases of Mikulov's theatre life, the period when there was a stage situated at the local winter riding hall. The stage was run by local townspeople with the permission of the then owner of the estate, Franz Joseph, Prince of Dietrichstein. Townspeople presented not only their amateur theater performances there, but also leased the premises to professional theater companies. It was a very successful attempt to create a city theater here, an institution that was already common in nearby royal cities (Brno, Znojmo)
