Damage to Paper Due to Visible Light Irradiation and Post-Radiation Effects after Two Years of Storage in Darkness
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
All light contributes to the deterioration of library and archives collections by providing energy to fuel destructive chemical reactions within the paper. The influence of visible light sources on archives and libraries documents ? lignin contained papers - is discussed in this article. This article will be concerned with the influence of post-irradiation effects on the colour changes and paper degradation. Even after an exhibition, just during storage in the dark in a depository, the damage can be observed. In this study two types of papers with high content of lignin CTMP and without lignin BP and four types of light sources (blue, green, red and day light) are used. Finally, post-irradiation effects which occur during 2 years of storage in the darkness are examined by stable climatic conditions by storage. There are described conditions of the artificial ageing and measuring methods ? optical properties (UV/VIS spectra, coordinates of color space CIELAB). Conditions of post-radiati
