Die Pedalharfe eines unbekannten Instrumentenbauers aus der Sammlung von Marie Zunová Skalská

Die präsentierte Harfe bildet Bestandteil des einzigartigen Nachlasses der tschechischen Harfenistin Marie Zunová in der Sammlung des National Museums Prag. Die Pedalharfe mit Zugkrückenmechanismus ("mécanique a crochets" mit angeschraubten verstellbaren Sätteln) stellt einen Beleg für eine Entwicklungsphase in der Geschichte der Einfachpedalharfe an der Wende vom 18. zum 19. Jahrhundert dar. Offensichtlich gehört zu den wenigen erhaltenen Pedalharfen aus diesem Zeitraum auf dem Gebiet der heutigen Tschechischen Republik. Bislang ist sie mit nur minimalen späteren Eingriffen und Änderungen bewahren. Die Untersuchnung hat u.a. bestätigt, dass Überprüfung der Angaben in Museums-Aufzeichnungen unumgänglich ist.

The presented harp is a part of the unique legacy of the Czech harpist Marie Zunová in the collections of the National Museum of Prague. This pedal harp with hook mechanism ("mécanique a crochets" with screwed adjustable saddles) documents one development stage in the history of the single-action pedal harp at the turn of the 18th/19th century and it belongs probably to the few preserved pieces from this time on the territory of the Czech Republic. It remains preserved up to now with only a few modifications and changes. The research confirmed i.a. that it is essencial to doublecheck the information in the museum documentation.
