Metodologicky zaměřená studie obrací pozornost na problematiku muzejní divadelní dokumentace současnosti jako součásti aktivní sbírkotvorné činnosti Divadelního oddělení Národního muzea (DO NM). V úvodu autor shrnuje specifičnost divadelní muzeality, popisuje dobová omezení v průběhu dvacátého století a definuje aktuální divadelní sbírkotvornou činnost v rámci tzv. performativního obratu, jenž přinesl novou definici pojmu &quot;divadlo&quot; a prohloubil vnímání různých forem scénických jednání a jejich dopadu do života lidského jedince i společnosti. V článku jsou představeny základní pilíře současné dokumentační práce DO NM, zaměřené na současné české divadlo v letech 2017-2025, popisuje hlavní témata pracovního týmu kurátorů divadelního oddělení i orientaci jednotlivých &quot;sond&quot;, které mapují problematiku současného českého divadla, resp. performativních aktivit v příslušných tematických, žánrových i časových segmentech. Bližším pohledem se dále zaměřuje na problematiku dokumentace divadelního života v souvislosti s pandemií covidu 19 v letech 2020-2021, která v té době citelně zasáhla divadelní život. Všímá si proměny funkce divadla jako instituce v rámci suplování některých disfunkčních složek státu a obce (organizace pomoci, edukace, sociální práce aj.), ale také vlastní proměny divadelní komunikace tvůrců a publika (přesun produkcí do virtuálního prostředí, do exteriérů aj.). Popisuje specifika tohoto materiálu a jakým způsobem probíhala vlastní dokumentace a sběr pro sbírkotvornou činnost.

This methodologically focused study turns its attention to the issue of contemporary museum theater documentation as part of the active collection activities of the Theater Department of the National Museum. The introduction summarizes the specificity of theater museology, describes the limitations of the 20th century, and defines current theater collection activities within the so-called performative turn, which brought a new definition of the term &quot;theater&quot; and deepened the perception of various forms of stage performances and their impact on the lives of individuals and society. The article presents the basic pillars of the current documentation work of the NM, focused on contemporary Czech theater in the years 2017-2025, describes the main themes of the working team of curators of the theater department, and the orientation of individual &quot;probes&quot; that map the issues of contemporary Czech theater, or rather performative activities in the relevant thematic, genre, and time segments. It also takes a closer look at the issue of documenting theater life in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021, which had a significant impact on theater life. It notes the transformation of the function of theater as an institution in substituting for certain dysfunctional components of the state and municipality (organization of aid, education, social work, etc.), but also the transformation of theatrical communication between creators and audiences (the shift of productions to virtual environments, outdoor venues, etc.). It describes the specifics of this material and how the documentation and collection for the collection-building activity was carried out.
