The article presents the photographic collection of Věra Šťovíčková-Heroldová held at the National Museum - Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures in Prague, with particular attention to its technical, thematic, and research significance within the context of the museum&apos;s broader collections. The collection consists primarily of photographs taken in the 1960s across Africa and the Middle East, where Šťovíčková-Heroldová worked as a foreign correspondent for Czechoslovak Radio. Her images provide a unique visual record of the decolonization process, major political events in the regions during that period, and everyday life as it unfolded in these rapidly changing societies.
