Die Studie befasst sich mit der aktuell restaurierten Statue der Jungfrau Maria aus der Sammlung der Nationalgalerie in Prag. Die Außergewönlich hochwertige Schnitzarbeit wurde aufgrund einer Stilanalyse dem Meister des Kefermarktersaltar zugeschrieben und in die Jahre zwischen 1475-80 datiert. Der Artikel zugleich überwertet die tradizionell gehaltete Ansicht an die Datazion des Kefermarktersaltar. Ein Teil des Artikels bildet auch ein Bericht über die Restaurierung der Statue.

The article deals with the actually restored sculpture of Virgin Mary from the Collection of the National Gallery in Prague. Based on the style analysis this sculpture was attributed to the Master of the Kefermarkt Altarpiece and dated 1475-80. The article also revises the traditionally accepted dating of the Kefermarkt Altarpiece. Part of the article forms the conservator report.
