The catalogue presents 81 works of French sculpture from the collection of the 19th Century and Classical Modernism of the National Gallery, including later casts. The publication provides interesting data on the provenance of the collection and presents the context of the Czech-French dialogue at the turn of the century, which became a determining factor for the purchase of the works. Each entry is structured into several categories designed to bring the reader closer not only to the sculptural subject but also to identify the specific cast. The publication also includes references to other examples of the same subject in other collections around the world and three indexes.
