    Der Aufsatz behandelt die Geschichte und Zuschreibung einer Mater Dolorosa im Blütenkranz aus dem Depotbestand der Nationalgalerie in Prag. Mit dem Namen ‚Guido Reni‘ war das Gemälde aus der ehemaligen Sammlung Pálffy und der Prager Kollektion Pavel Bächers als Reichseigentum in die Staatliche Sammlung Alter Kunst gelangt. Seither wurde es als Werk eines flämischen Malers der zweiten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts geführt. Archivalische und stilistische Befunde erlauben nun eine Bestimmung als Gemeinschaftsarbeit der italienischen Blumenspezialistin Margherita Caffi und des Figurenmalers Lorenzo Pasinelli. Das um 1675 in Bologna entstandene Gemälde zeugt von der anhaltenden Beliebtheit einer Gattung, die der Flame Jan Brueghel I nach einer Idee seines italienischen Patrons Federico Borromeo Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts populär gemacht hatte. Das exklusive Sammlerstück und Auftragswerk liefert ein wertvolles Zeugnis für die künstlerische Gleichberechtigung und Wertschätzung barocker Malerinnen.

    The article deals with the history and authorship of the painting Mater Dolorosa in a floral wreath from the National Gallery in Prague. Under the name "Guido Reni" this painting from the former Pálffy Collection and the Prague Pavel Baecher's collection was acquired as property of the Reich by the state collection of old art. Since then it has been listed as the work of a Flemish master of the second half of the 17th century. In in the light of new archival findings and stylistic analyses the authorship has been attributed to the collaboration of an Italian specialist floral specialist Margherita Caffi and figurative painter Lorenzo Pasinelli. The painting, which was created around the year 1675 in Bologna, testifies to the long-standing popularity of the genre popularized by Founder John I. Brueghel in the idea of his Italian patron Federico Borromeo. This exclusive collector's piece and work on commission is a contribution to artistic equality and recognition of Baroque women painters.
