Welcome to the 27th International Meeting on Organic Geochemistry (IMOG 2015), the official biennial conference of the European Association of Organic Geochemists (EAOG), which will be held in Prague (Praha), Czech Republic, from September 13th to 18th, 2015. We are expecting more than 550 participants from all over the world presenting more than 80 oral and 400 poster presentations. IMOG meetings encourage scientists and students to show excellent presentations and to discuss the research results carried out in academia and industry in the fields of Petroleum Geochemistry to Biogeochemistry. Share your best ideas with other organic geochemists during the 5 days program of oral and poster presentations and workshops and bring progress in this field of science and applications. The conference will be held in the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague. This venue is easy to reach by public transport from the historic center and provides a unique combination of modern congress rooms and elegant banquet halls. The meeting will start with an icebreaker party in the Strahov monastery and bier restaurant with a splendid view of the historic city of Prague. The cultural evening will bring a bit of surprise. The conference gala dinner will be held on the Žofín island on the Vltava River. In addition to the scientific programme, IMOG 2015 offers opportunities to go on fieldtrips and experience the geology of the Lower Paleozoic, Cretaceous and younger units if the Bohemian Massif. The rocks will be always intercalated with beutiful historic architecture and unforgattable landscapes. We are planning to organize several events to allow you and your partner to enjoy most of your pre- and post-conference time in Prague, Český Krumlov, Karlštejn, Turnov, and more.
