The international conference was organized by the Crop Research Institute in Prague on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of long-term field experiments in the Czech Republic. These long-term field experiments, running at various sites - Prague, Ivanovice na Hané, Čáslav and Lukavec – and all according to the original methodology, have provided a significant amount of findings concerning the effects of different fertilizer treatments on the yield and quality of arable crops. The main aim of the conference is the presentation of the latest results of these long-term field experiments. Special attention was paid to the evaluation of the long-term effects of different field management systems and approaches for the introduction of these systems towards a successful environmentally-balanced agriculture. The conference was intended for researchers, agricultural advisors, students and for the agricultural community in general.
