The book follows up on the publication Seeds and Fruits of Selected Species of Vegetables, Medicinal Plants and Special Crops, Volume 1 – Vegetables. Both books together form a unique whole which introduces the reader to a wide spectrum of seeds and fruits of the best-known plant species used in cuisine, traditional folk medicine or pharmacy, with their smallest details captured through macro and micro photographs. The book Seeds and Fruits of Selected Species of Vegetables, Medicinal Plants and Special Crops, Volume 2 – Medicinal Plants and Special Crops maintains the structure and essential part of the introduction of the previous publication, so that a reader who buys only this second part will not lack for general information concerning the utilization, cultivation and preservation of plant genetic resources in the Czech Republic and, above all, the morphological characteristics of seeds, respectively fruits, and the methodological approach to the processing of the visual part of the publication. The picture section is dedicated exclusively to medicinal plants and special crops.
