Multiyear Miscanthus biomass production at the marginal and post-mining areas with soil amendments: case of Chomutov, Czech Republic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The current research aimed to determine the productivity of Miscanthus x giganteus (M x g) over 4 vegetation seasons in the post-mining landscape when the soil was amended with various additives. The long-term research on the impact of soil amendments on the vegetation and harvest values of M x g was conducted from 2021 to 2024 in the North Bohemian mines near Chomutov, Czech Republic. It can be concluded that the incorporation of innovative soil amendments influenced the biological parameters of the soil and the yields and quality of the harvested above-ground biomass when grown in post-mining soil. The greatest impact was observed in the plots where biochar was incorporated in two doses (5% and 10%).
