Technical and technological systems in catle breeding in the Czech Republic

In framework of the terrain questionnaire inquiry the technical and technological systems for livestock breeding were investigated in enterprises with total area of 402,616 ha of farm land, i.e. 9.53 % of its total acreage in the Czech Republic. In thatinvestigation there were-besides others-involved 235 enterprises, 1506 stables, 1075 manure heaps, 254 slurry storage sites, 780 storage halls for bulky feedstuffs, 382 hay storage halls and 734 straw storage halls. The acquired results of the terrain investigation have shown that from total number of bred cows in 2006 43.7 % were housed in stanchion less housing systems, littered stables represent 83.5 % of all stables for cows breeding, 90 % of cows is fed by the mobile feeding line (predominantly bymixing feeding wagon) and 72.3 % of cows is milked in milking parlour. More than one half of the investigated stables for 67 % of dairy cows is in a good technical state. Nevertheless, 26.8 % stables is in operation for remaining 33 % of
