Název v původním jazyce
Efficiency and kinetics of in vitro fertilization process in bovine oocytes with different meiotic competence
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of the study was to investigate the efficiency and kinetics of fertilization in oocytes with different meiotic competence. Oocytes were recovered either in the growth or the dominant phase of follicular wave, separately from different-sized follicles. In growth phase, the significantly higher rates of both normally fertilized and cleaved oocytes (68.8 and 25.1%) were found in comparison with dominant phase (44.2 and 10.3%). In the growth phase, the significantly higher rates of normally fertilized and cleaved oocytes were determined in oocytes from large compared to oocytes from small follicles. In the dominant phase, the higher rates of normally fertilized and cleaved oocytes were found in oocytes from small compared to oocytes from large follicles. In conclusion a) efficiency and kinetics of fertilization differ in relation to meiotic competence of oocytes; b) improved cleavage of oocytes with greater meiotic competence is associated with a more effective fertilization proces
