Název v původním jazyce
Sperm Abnormalities in Exposed Humans
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The impact of sperm abnormalities for humans became a hot topic due to its possible effect on male fertility. Also the term ?sperm abnormality? was originally related to the sperm morphology and the sperm head morphology. With new methods used for the human monitoring of genetic damage as fluorescent in situ hybridization and sperm chromatin structure assay were obtained results important to public health and clinical practice. Present data on occupational exposure, life style, and biomarkers of sperm injury are reviewed. As the air pollution substantially improved, semen parameters improved, too. The determination of sperm morphology, DNA fragmentation by SCSA, and sperm aneuploidy may be recommended as sensitive biomarkers. An observed decrease of percentage of normal sperm morphology and increase of DNA fragmentation by SCSA and sperm aneuploidy may have adverse effects on reproductive outcomes.
