Streptococcus suis is currently the most clinically and financialy serious bacterial pathogen of pigs. The aim of the lecture was to acquaint the audience with the results of serotyping, antimicrobial resistance and the occuernce of antimicrobial resistance genes in 173 strains of S. suis obtained from farms in the Czech Republic.
