The rapid development of recording technology in recent years, along with increasing demands for the accuracy of multi-station meteor orbit calculations, led to the replacement of existing camera systems at individual stations of the CEMeNt (Central European Meteor Network) during July and August 2024. These were upgraded to modern CMOS cameras with significantly higher sensitivity and Full HD resolution. The expansion of the network into regions with excellent observing conditions in the Southern Hemisphere was another step that will improve the quality of the collected data and contribute to the study of meteor activity in the Southern Hemisphere - an area that had been largely neglected until recently. The system concept is based on monitoring meteor shower activity from two stations: one serving as the main (control) station equipped with spectrographs (La Silla Observatory), and the other as a supporting station primarily for multi-station orbit calculations (El Sauce Observatory). The Southern Spectroscopic Observatory of the Valasske Mezirici Observatory (SSOHVM) was established thanks to the cooperation between the Valasske Mezirici Observatory, the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Exoplanet Research Group), and OBSTECH (El Sauce Observatory). The article describes the technical equipment of the stations, the overall system concept, and also presents the first results from June 2025.
