The present checklist updates that published in the Checklist of Diptera of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, electronic version 2 for the family Canacidae (Roháček 2009). The number of species known from these countries remains unchanged but one species is here recorded for the first time from Bohemia. The present list includes 3 species from Czechia (3 from Bohemia and 2 from Moravia) and 4 species from Slovakia.
