The research outcomes of the European Metrology Research Programme Project: HiTeMS - High Temperature Measurement Solutions for industry
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
We describe the research outcomes of the European Metrology research Programme Project (EMRP): HiTeMS - High Temperature Measurement Solutions for Industry. The objective of the project was to demonstrate that it is possible to address common problems encountered in industrial high temperature measurement, both for non-contact and contact thermometry. One of the key objectives of the project was to develop methods which would enable traceability to the temperature scale to be maintained - even in a harsindustrial setting. The following problems were investigated: Non-contact thermometry: the issues of unknown emissivity and variable transmission of path and in situ calibration of complex industrial set-ups. Contact thermometry: ihe issues ofcharacterising sensor drift, demonstrating self-validation to correct for drift and reference function determination for new types of (or poorly characterised) thermocouples.
