Report recommending an amendment of Annex B and Annex C of the current CISPR 16-1-1 standard
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Measuring receivers are used for the measurement of radio disturbance in the frequency range typically 9 kHz to 18 GHz. The specifications of EMI receivers are given in the international standard IEC/CISPR 16-1-1, which is harmonized in the European Union as EN 55016-1-1. Generally, the term measuring receiver is used for a general instrument fulfilling requirements of CISPR 16-1-1, such as a selective voltmeter, EMI receiver, spectrum analyzer or FFT-based instruments operating in the time domain. Traditionally, such receivers contain the quasi-peak (QP) detector and are working on the heterodyne principle. Lately, receivers working in the time domain with digital filters emulating the QP detector are used. The main difference between a measuring receiver and a spectrum analyzer is the presence of preselection filters (limiting the spectrum of signals entering the receiver, otherwise its input circuits might be overloaded) and a pre-amplifier (increasing the measurement dynamic range). Metrological characterization of EMI receivers is a requirement of the international standard IEC/ISO 17025:2017 for calibration and testing laboratories and the Annex K of the standard CISPR 16-1-1. This report gives detailed results on the calibration of the measuring receiver and the reference pulse generator along with practical recommendations on the calibration of pulse generators and the measurement uncertainty evaluation.
