On 25 June 2024, we hosted prominent foreign experts focusing on neuro-oncology at the Masaryk Cancer Institute as part of the conference Current challenges in neurooncology: meet the Young Neuro-Oncologist. The foreign guests and Tomáš Kazda have been working for the past few years within the EORTC - Brain Tumor Group as Young Neuro-Oncologist and have been further developing their knowledge and skills in neuro-oncology under the guidance of their assigned mentor. The conference was very important to promote further collaboration in education and clinical and translational research on brain tumours. Another important outcome of the meeting is to strengthen the motivation of young Czech neuro-oncologists to international collaboration and participation in international congresses on neuro-oncology.
