Cutaneous vasculitis is a group of clinical diseases characterized by angiocentric segmental inflammation, endothelial cell swelling, and fibrinoid necrosis of blood vessel walls. They can be idiopathic, associated with an underlying disease, or can be precipitated by drugs and infections. Even if skin lesions are various, the commonest is palpable purpura. Some patients show symptoms of a systemic vascular involvement. Evaluation of patient includes a thorough history, physical examination, laboratory screening, and histopathology studies. The ideal therapeutic approach is to find out and remove the causative agent. When it is not possible, local and systemic treatments are necessary.
