The chapter describes the last of the big religious revolts in the Habsburg Monarchy before the Josephinian legislation (1781). A case of religious resistance of a Protestant minority and of the revolt against the systematical 'indoctrination' by the state and the dominant Church. The Opočno Rebellion of 1732 is studied as the resistance against the state authorities and local landlords of one estate of the Bohemian Kingdom. One of the nine case studies within Part II: Experiment of "Crossing Frontiers,Resisting Identities", the 5th and final volume of an international research group. Comprises a reflection on its work over the past 5 years and proposals for future analyses. The volume uses the binomial "Frontiers and Identities" as a heuristic tool for understanding the past and the present. It is a product of the Thematic Work Group 5 of the Network of Excellence CLIOHRES, supported by the EC through the 6th FP of its Directorate General for Research.
