Short Summary of Constitutional Confirmation of So-Called First Czechoslovak Republic. The Basic Premise for Establishment of National Minorities in Social-Political Life of Interwar Czechoslovakia
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
National Minorities and establishment of Czechoslovakia: The first declarations of the deputies of the German and Hungarian minority on the parliamentary ground were informed by the common spirit of refusal of the manner of establishment of Czechoslovakia, disagreement with adoption of the basic laws of the country without participation of national minorities and critics of rights awarded to the minorities. The representatives of both German and Hungarian population had to get used to their new roles. Position of national minorities in Csechoslovakia: The Czechoslovak constitutional law and administrative-legal rules regulating the area of protection of the national minorities constituted standard legal norms of that time. Probably their greatest shortcoming consisted in letting considerable space for decision-making to individual state authorities or territorial self-government bodies.
