The 90th volume of the series Linguistic Insights, Studies in Language and Communication, contains papers presented by fifteen researchers from five continents who met at the international symposium Lexicography at a Crossroads. Dictionaries and Encyclopedias Today, Lexicographical Tools Tomorrow held in June 2008 in the Danish Centre of Lexicography at the Aarhus School of Business (University of Aarhus). The meeting concentrated on the future theoretical course of the discipline while two specific goals were pursued: Discussions concerning theories, practice and principles relevant to printed and electronic dictionaries and encyclopedias, and establishment of an international research network.
