Der Beitrag versucht, eine prinzipielle Ähnlichkeit zwischen dem Ausbau der Standardsprachen im mittel- und osteuropäischen Raum in der Zeit der klassischen nationalen Bewegungen (19. Jahrhundert) und der Schaffung neuer dialektalen, bzw. regionalen Sprachversionen der freien Internetenzyklopädie Wikipedia zu demonstrieren. Der Beitrag zeigt auch die Geschichte und den heutigen Zustand der Sprachpolitik Wikipedias in Bezug auf Schaffung neuer Sprachversionen.

This paper aims at demonstrating the principal similarity between the formation of the standardized languages in Middle and Eastern Europe in the time of the classical national movement (19th century) and the proceses of creating new dialectal or regional language versions of the free internet encyclopedia Wikipedia. The article also shows the history and the contemporary state of the policy for creating new language versions of Wikipedia.
